MGMT - Bournemouth O2

Not photographed a gig at the O2 for ages, had fun time. The  lighting for the gig was shocking though. However I managed to get some good images. As it seems for every live gig I have been to lately the lighting gets better after the 3rd song (after we have been kicked out of the pit). MGMT were on tour promoting their new album Congratulations. Not my thing but the crowd were digging it. I was shooting for Ilikemusic

Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project - Zane Lowe

This was shoot for Smirnoff on Billingsgate Walk in London. The weather was by far the worst i have ever shot in. It was chucking it down the whole time. Zane was a true professional and a really cool guy.  We managed to get some great portrait images quickly after the crate shots were done.
Smirnoff has signed up Zane up to front the £8m UK leg of an international advertising campaign that will culminate in consumers from 14 countries swapping the best nightlife experiences they can muster with each other in a series of global parties.
The campaign, called the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project, kicks off this week with TV advertising calling on consumers around the world to visit a Smirnoff Facebook page to submit ideas that sum up the best night out from their country.
This builds towards 14 simultaneous Smirnoff parties in different countries on 27 November. Each country will "export" their party ideas to another country. So Smirnoff's UK night out could be a Brazilian extravaganza while Australians may experience the best-of-British night out. Other countries taking part include the US, India, Poland, Venezuela, Argentina and Lebanon.

Richard Parks 737 Callenge

Richard Parks is the former Welsh International and Barbarian flanker, who was recently forced to retire from professional rugby due to a career ending shoulder injury.

In December 2010 Richard will start the unique, multi discipline 737 Challenge. A gripping 7 month expedition to climb the 7 Summits, which are the highest mountain on each of the world's continents, and venture the last 2 degrees to The South Pole and the last degree to The Geographic North Pole. All against a 7 month clock!

The press shoot for the challenge took place at Premier Park Studios and everybody that was involved gave their services for free. Richard was a natural in front of the camera and we got some great shots.

Richard will be joined by Olympic Gold Medalist Steve Williams on some of the challenges

Hurts - Showcase London

Hurts are a band that are really going places. They have just had the fastest selling album of the year and are tipped for even bigger things in 2011.

I was commissioned to photograph their album showcase at RIBA in London. The lighting for the gig was not the greatest but managed to get some great black and white images, which fits well into the bands look. Will be shooting them again on tour later in the year (better lighting please).

Pretty Green Store Opening - Carnaby Street

Liam Gallagher celebrated the opening of his label Pretty Green’s first store in Carnaby Street, London. I was comissioned to photograph both the VIP launch and the public opening the next day.
Celebrity friends of the iconic rock star were out in force to show their support: Nicole and Natalie Appleton, Beady Eye band members Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Chris Sharrock, Stereophonic’s Kelly Jones, Zak Starkey, Audiobullies, Black Twang, Gary Crowley, Phil Daniels and actor Tom Ellis.
The 2000sq ft store is housed over two storey’s with the basement area featuring a panoramic image of Liam on Brighton Beach and a Lambretta Li 150 series 3 replica scooter. The temporary shop will be selling a selection of exclusive one of pieces as well as the Green Label and Black Label Spring Summer collections.

DJ Mag Cover September Edition - Aeroplane

This would be my third cover in four months for DJ Mag. We managed to get clearance to photograph in Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport. The artist Vito De Luca AKA Aeroplane  is just about to release his new album, which I must say is superb.

We did not have that much time to do the shoot,  but we managed to get 3 different locations in the airport. The shots from the magazine will be my site in the next few weeks.
